The core of any good management system is actionable intelligence. In a world of big data we often can’t see the wood for the trees. Senior execs need to be able to quickly and accurately make informed decisions and they can only do this with reliable intelligence. HORIZON PPM has been designed with this in mind with variable broad and deep lens enabling users to focus on what’s important in the moment.
We’ve defined the HORIZON PPM mission as:
Making enterprise class Portfolio & Project Management tools accessible to smaller organisations.
I’ve had the good fortune to work with a range of organisations from small to very large. These larger ones typically spend millions on their PPM tools. They have their defined processes and they often have large PMO teams keeping things running. I’ve seen a lot of inefficiencies in these organisations with a great deal of time, effort and money being spent to produce reports that often go unread. On the flip side when working with the smaller organisations – including a number of start-ups – there has often been very limited structure. As a practitioner of Lean and Agile methods myself, I don’t subscribe to the view that this means there is no place for structure and order. Quite the opposite in these environments the pace is typically much faster with decisions made on the fly and delivery cycles in days not months so having a clear visibility of all projects elements are even more important.
HORIZON PPM supports informed decision making
Projects are multi-faceted. They are dynamic with many moving parts. And by the very nature of being a project they are aiming to do something unique. One of the keys to successfully delivering a project is having clarity on what’s important now and what’s important next.
HORIZON PPM has been designed to provide this clarity in one simple to use dashboard. A dashboard that you can share with all of the stakeholders. A dashboard that is accessible from any internet connected browser. A dashboard that is keeps the whole team on the same page with respect to status, plans, challenges, opportunities and successes.
According to one of study into project failures it was estimated that 57% fail due to a breakdown in communications.
Using HORIZON PPM to provide accessible and current project information shared across the team on devices they are already using will improve you chances of success.
